York Round Table will once again be offering a Christmas Tree recycling service in conjunction with City of York Council and YorWaste.

We will be located at Askham Bar Tesco Extra on Saturday 6th January between 9am and 4pm where you will be able to drop-off your tree for a small donation (£5) to this years chosen charity, York Food Bank. Your tree will then be recycled and turned into compost.

Due to overwheling demand last year, we will once again be offering a collection service. For a donation of £10 per tree, we will come to you and collect your tree. Simply use the form below to arrange your collection.

If you're dropping your tree off...

  • We will be located near the recycling area, please drive into the main car park, do not use the bus stop adjacent to the car park
  • Help to keep our volunteers safe by remaining in your car, we will remove the tree from your boot
  • Please bring real trees only and remember to remove all decorations
  • We are asking for a suggested donation of £5, 100% of funds raised will be donated to charity, donations can be cash or card

Booking a collection...

  • We are only collecting from postcodes within the ring road and some surrounding villages, if your postcode is not in scope the website will not allow you to make a booking
  • We will collect your tree on Saturday 6th January and you will receive an email and SMS to confirm collection day 5 days prior
  • Please leave the tree outside your property before 9am on the day of collection, ideally leave on a drive or front garden. Please do not let trees block pavements and highways
